ABOUT ME

I am an artist, writer, teacher/facilitator and Doctor of Philosophy in Education. I am passionate about citizenship, Indigenous epistemology, the environment, project-based learning, multiple literacies, holistic education, inclusion, diversity, creativity and critical pedagogies. I have taught Visual Art at Ashbury College and Symmes Junior High, along with film studies at the Compass Centre for Self-directed Learning. I am also a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa's faculty of Education where I have taught How to Teach Visual Art, Schooling and Society as well as Gender, Sexuality and Diversity. I'm grateful to be able to teach/facilitate Language Arts and Visual Art at St. Michael's High School. I am opened to co-creating individualized learning plans with students if they have a desire to pursue their own area of focus. I draw from students' interests and encourage cross-curricular and transdisciplinary connections when possible.

This site represents my teaching and facilitation practice for the Western Quebec School Board at St. Michael's High School in Low, Quebec.
